Charles J. McNamee, 87, of Cascade died peacefully Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Williamsport Home. Surviving is his loving wife of 63 years, Carol M. (McCallus) McNamee.
Born April 11, 1932 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Charles and Eleanor (Bonnell) McNamee.
Charles was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. He was employed by the railroad and then worked for the former Bell Atlantic and retired after 42 years of service. Charles was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge and the Red Run Rod and Gun Club, Ralston. He enjoyed cutting grass with his ‘wheel horse’, painting and especially loved being a ‘Grampy’.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Patrick F. McNamee, of Cascade; a granddaughter, Skye K. McNamee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Barbara Livermore and James McNamee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 20 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 West Fourth St. Williamsport. Burial will follow in Assumption Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Sanders Mortuary 821 Diamond St. Williamsport.
