Catherine A. (Morphew) Bower

Catherine A. (Morphew) Bower, 54, of South Williamsport, passed away at home surrounded by her family and friends on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018.

Born May 19, 1964, in San Jose, Calif., she is a daughter of the late Oscar A. Morphew who preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2004, and Marsha (Faso) Morphew of San Jose, Calif.

Catherine was employed for Glen O. Hawbaker as a weight master and also had worked at Dicks Sporting Goods. Her greatest job in life was being Eric's mom, her pride and joy who she cherished dearly and loved watching him play sports. Catherine enjoyed shopping, scrapbooking and absolutely loved her two cats. She loved hanging out with her friends and socializing with everyone.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her son, Eric Bower; and his dad, John Bower, both of South Williamsport;  three sisters, Christine (Randy) Clayton, Carolyn Morphew (Dave Allard)  and Candace Morphew, all of California; a niece, Kaylee Garcia (Alex), great-nephew, A.J. Garcia; and her best friend, Karen Koch, of  Jersey Shore.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 3200 Lycoming Creek Road, Williamsport. A memorial service to honor the life of Catherine will follow at 7 p.m. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Oak Hill Memorial Park, San Jose, CA.
