Carl W. Hughey, 73, of Williamsport, died Thursday, July 19, 2018, at UPMC Susquehanna. Surviving is his loving wife of 23 years, Deborah A. (Larson) Hughey.
Born Sept. 17, 1944, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Ralph and Alverna (Rupert) Hughey Jr.
Carl was a self-employed mechanic specializing in bodywork. He was a member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing and camping.
In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by three daughters, Michaele (Brian) Kelly, of Lewisburg and Michelle Delaney, of Lock Haven and Lorie Stark (Zabrina Paullin), also of Lock Haven; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph (Jan) Hughey, of Williamsport; two sisters, Carol H. Larson, of Williamsport and Barb (Ed) Shrimp, of Montgomery.
Carl was preceded in death by a brother, Alan Hughey.
A funeral service to honor the life of Carl will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 23, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport, with the Rev. Dr. S. David Simon, officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at Sanders.
