Anthony L. “Tony” Liberti, 59, of Linden, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, June 27, 2018.
Born June 6, 1959 in Williamsport, he was a son of Lewis P. “Sonny” and Jean M. (Neill) Liberti. Tony was a 1977 graduate of Williamsport High School. In his younger years he could be found working at the Harvest Moon Dairy Bar. Tony was a car salesman and had also worked for STEP as a van driver for many years.
He was a great outdoorsman enjoying hunting, spotlighting, fishing, boating, flying planes, motorcycles, and horseback riding. Tony was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Phillies fan and could often be found rooting for his teams or watching Little League Baseball. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his mother of Linden, a sister LuAnn Sagan, of Williamsport, four brothers David (Margaret) Liberti, of Linden, Thomas Liberti, of Williamsport, James (Barb) Liberti, of Linden, and Douglas (Sulynn) Liberti, of Linden; 5 nieces and nephews; Eric, Cliff, Katelyn, Hallie, and Logan, many great nieces and nephews, his girlfriend of 14 years Gloria Harer, Gloria’s children; Jerome Jr. and Josh and their close friend Terri.
A funeral service to honor Tony’s life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport, Interment will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m Tuesday at Sanders Mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made in Tony’s name to the Lycoming county S.P.C.A. 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport PA 17701.
