Angeline A. Stacey
January 14, 1918 ~ June 30, 2017 (age 99) 99 Years OldAngeline (Anne) A. Stacey, 99, formerly of Peabody, MA passed Friday, June 30, 2017 peacefully at the Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital.
Born January 14, 1918 in Hanson, MA, she was the daughter of Mary (Longo) and Emilio Iarrobino and wife of Franklin A. Stacey former owner of Stacey’s Shade Shop, Lynn, MA.
Ann Loved volunteering and before moving to Williamsport from Lynn, MA to be near her daughter she was a volunteer and Auxiliary member at the Union Hospital, for over 40 years, YWCA, Lynn Historical Society and Girl Scout Leader. Once in Williamsport, she became a volunteer at the former Sycamore Manor and Presbyterian Home and a member of the Women’s Club and Red Hat Society. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, cooking, playing the piano, exercising and especially spending time with friends and family. She was a devoted mother and home maker.
Surviving are a daughter Carole J. Smith (Al) of Williamsport, a son Lee F. Stacey (Gretchen) of Maryland, two grandchildren, Devin Stacey and Caroline Stacey whom she adored, six nieces and nephews, Joe, Tommy, Rickie, Susan, Marion, and Elaine.
In keeping with her wishes a visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, July 12th at Christ Episcopal Church, 426 Mulberry Street, Williamsport, with a church service honoring Anne’s life at 6 p.m. Burial will be Friday in Massachusetts.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions be made to Tufts Medical Center to support eye disease research, Johanna M. Seddon, MD, Ophthalmic Epidemiology, 800 Washington Street, # 450, Boston, MA ,02111.
