Patrick R. "Pat" Hampton

Patrick R. “Pat” Hampton, 82, of Williamsport, passed away March 27, 2024 at the Gatehouse at Divine Providence.

Pat was born to his parents Roy T. and Grace C. Hampton on November 2, 1941.

He grew up in Williamsport and attended the local public schools – Jefferson Elementary, Curtin Junior High, and graduated from Williamsport Senior High School in 1960. He graduated from Lycoming College with a BA degree in 1964. He later earned his Master’s degree from Bloomsburg University and did two years post-graduate studies at Lehigh University.

Pat taught History and English for the Anne Arundel County Board of Education in Maryland for 36 years. In 2003, he and his wife, Sally (Smith) Hampton retired back to Williamsport where they enjoyed being with their close family and friends and attending many cultural and sporting events in the area.

Pat is survived by his wife Sara (Sally) Hampton and by his brother Tim Hampton and his family.

In keeping with Pat’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
