Patricia A. "Pat" Rishcoff, 83, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at home in Nisbet surrounded by her family. Surviving is her husband of 65 years, Donald M. Rishcoff, the love of her life.

Born on July 12, 1940, in Wilkes Barre, she was a daughter of the late Laura and David Schuler. Pat was a graduate of G.A.R. High School, class of 1958. She devoted her life to her family and supporting her husband, Don in the daily operations of their business E.H. Bernstine Pharmacy. For a short while, she was also employed at the Williamsport Sun Gazette.

Her dedication and hard work were not only limited to her professional life, but also extended to her community involvement. Pat was a 27-year member of the former Newberry Lioness Club, where she served as a past president and chaired numerous committees. You could find Pat helping with flowers in Newberry, collecting items for different charities, working the bake sales, sandwich sales, and car washes, just to name a few of the many ways she contributed. Her outstanding commitment to the club was recognized with honors such as the Lioness of the Year, Melvin Jones Award, and she was a recipient of the PA Fellow award. In addition to her civic service, Pat was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, her faith being a cornerstone of her life.

Her world, however, truly revolved around her family. Pat was a constant presence at her grandchildren's activities, providing care and support for them.  She relished in hosting holidays and took particular joy in making Christmas special for her family. Whether it was through her thoughtful decor or the loving care she provided for her grandchildren, Pat's devotion to her family was unequivocal. She also enjoyed shopping, collecting Longaberger baskets, and spending winters in West Palm Beach, Florida.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her four children, Deborah Guthrie (Dennis) of Summerville, SC, Marjorie DeBlander (David) of Duboistown, David Rishcoff (Karen) of Mechanicsville, VA, Robert Rishcoff (Karen) of Nisbet; eight grandchildren, Heather Lee (Brian), Daniel (Fernando) and Matthew DeBlander (Kerry), Kristin Laudenslager (Kurt), Nicholas, Thomas (Alexi), Braden and Ryan Rishcoff; four great-grandchildren, Penny and Brooks Lee, Ethan and Emmett Laudenslager. She also leaves behind her sister, Linda Evans of Boonton, NJ, along with extended family members, and dear friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren, Kyle and Kaitlyn, a brother, Robert Nagle and a sister, Shirley Nagle.

Pat’s spirit of kindness was infectious, and her thoughtfulness towards others was unparalleled. She had a remarkable ability to make those around her feel loved and cherished. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service to honor the life of Pat will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 12 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at Sanders.
