Dustin Scott "Dusty" Ellison

Dustin Scott “Dusty” Ellison, 39, of Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at home.

Born November 6, 1984, he was the son of Kurt M. and the late Janet L. (Way) Ellison.

Dustin was a 2003 graduate of Montoursville Area High School. While in school and after, he worked at the local Wendy’s for close to ten years and was a courier for the Williamsport Sun Gazette. After that, Dustin was proud to become the Assistant Manager at Family Dollar.

Also, while in high school, Dustin found happiness in being a member of the Agriculture and FFA program and was in 4H, often showing animals at the local fairs. In his spare time, he would root for the Pittsburgh Steelers through every game, often calling his family and laughing when the Baltimore Ravens lost. He was fond of music, no matter the genre and enjoyed watching movies as well.

Above all else, Dustin was proud when he became an uncle and cherished every moment he spent with his nieces and nephews as well as the rest of his family. He was a kind, funny, and generous person who had a compassionate heart for others.

In addition to his father, he is survived by four siblings, Luke Ellison (Brittany) of Jersey Shore, Stephanie Ellison (Matthew) of VA, Shawna Parent (Eric) of OK, and Emily Rasley (Woody) of Mahanoy City; four nieces and nephews, Chase, Autumn, Gabriel, and Loretta J.; his step-mother, Bonnie Ellison; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Ellison; and a maternal grandmother, Helen Way; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Along with his mother, he was predeceased by a paternal grandfather, Myron Ellison.

A Celebration of Life to honor Dustin will be held 7 p.m., Wednesday March 13, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of service, Wednesday, at Sanders.
