Donna Faust Obituary

Donna G. Faust, 80, of Linden passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 at the Gatehouse.

Born January 16, 1944, in Williamsport she was the only child of Ray W. and Muriel Guthrie.

A 1961 graduate of Williamsport High School, Donna's passion for learning led her to Lock Haven University, where she earned a degree in early education.  Her commitment to shaping young minds was evident throughout her 37-year career as an elementary school teacher; beginning at J. George Becht Elementary School and retiring from Four Mile Elementary School in 1999. Her kindness and friendly nature left an indelible mark on the countless students she guided.

An enthusiastic supporter of local arts and sports, Donna and Bink enjoyed live performances as annual members of the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra and the Community Arts Center. They were season ticket holders for the Williamsport Crosscutters; enjoying the thrill of the game, the camaraderie of fellow fans, and hosting numerous players in their home through the seasons.

Donna's week was often highlighted by her weekly coffee group gatherings, where she shared laughter and conversation with close friends. She was an avid collector of Longaberger baskets, hosting countless parties in her home. Scrapbooking was another of Donna's cherished hobbies, she was particularly fond of sending Christmas cards that narrated the year's adventures that she and Bink shared. They loved traveling; taking many trips to Germany, Alaska and the shore.

Her life was a testament to the joy of simply being with family and friends, which was her greatest passion.

Surviving is her loving husband of 56 years, William S. “Bink” Faust; siblings-in-law, Cheri Dieffenbacher (Gordon), Ned Faust (Chris), and David Bennett; nieces and nephews who she loved like children, Rebekah, Hannah, Micah, Chad, Crystal, Spencer and Lindsay; and her great nieces and nephews, Charlie, Gabriel, Max, Anneliese, and Corbin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Connie Bennett.

As per her wishes, no services will be held.
