Bonnie L. Fisher, 82, of Williamsport, went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Muncy Place surrounded by her loving daughters.
Born November 8, 1941, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late LaRue and Betty (Garreau) Hobby.
Bonnie graduated from Williamsport High School in 1959 and went on to work in many different roles. Early in her career, she spent some time working in Washington, DC as an Administrative Assistant for the CIA and finished her working career as a Nursing Assistant for the former Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Bonnie was a woman of strong faith and a member of Living Hope Church in Williamsport. In her younger years, she was very active in the church attending Bible study, and spending time in Haiti on a mission trip. She loved to volunteer in her community for both the Lycoming Animal Protection Society (LAPS) and the Gatehouse.
Bonnie had a love for travel and found herself on many trips with friends throughout the years, including traveling to China, Turkey and Israel. She also traveled throughout the United States with her husband at the time, Robert E. Fisher, Sr. of Jersey Shore.
Above all else, Bonnie loved her family and was known as a kind, caring, and compassionate woman who was always ready to care for those around her. She was a dear friend to many people and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by two daughters, Tanya Zimmerman (Andrew) of Dumont, NJ and Danielle Erringer (Keith) of Pittsburgh, PA; two grandsons, Samuel and Jack, both of Vale, Co.; one grand-puppy, Daisy with whom she shared a special bond; and the father of her children, Ken Lundy, of Williamsport.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by a brother, Barry Hobby.
A memorial service to honor Bonnie’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 15 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service, Friday, at Sanders. Private burial in Twin Hills Memorial Park will be held at the convenience of the family.
