Walter K. English, 90, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at the Williamsport Home.
Born July 18, 1927, in English Center, he was a son of the late Claude and Jessie Hoppis English.
Walter served in the Navy Seabees during World War II. He was employed by Confair Bottling for over 50 years where he started out as a truck driver and retired as warehouse supervisor.
Walter was a member of Buchanan Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, working in the yard and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Margaret B. "Peg" (Weaver) English; two children, Diane F. English and Dwain E. (Beth) English, both of Williamsport; three granddaughters, Janell, Joleen, and Jillia; and three great-grandchildren, Jeanetta, Mason, and Max.
He was preceded in death by eight siblings.
A funeral service to honor the life of Walter will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., with Rev. Robert W. Regan officiating. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Interment will be in Buchanan Cemetery.
