Timothy S. Steck, 66, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Gatehouse Hospice in Williamsport.
He was born on September 2, 1950, in Williamsport to the late William and Ann (McCaII) Steck.
He married Carol Bloom, with whom he celebrated 31 years of marriage, on October 12, 1985.
Tim graduated from Williamsport High School in 1968 and Waynesburg University with a degree in Secondary Education; where became a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He then attended Williamsport Area Community College (now Penn College) with degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration. He was employed by Schnadig Corporation in research and development, and later in the production department. He also worked for his father at W.P. Steck Rewinding Service.
Tim was a very active member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, where he was a former Treasurer, member of the choir and served on numerous ministries and committees. Tim was a board member of West House Personal Care Home and of AIDS Resource Alliance. A former avid bowler, Tim was elected to the Pennsylvania Bowling Hall of Fame in 2015. He was also involved in many community activities, including the monthly senior luncheons at St. John's United Methodist Church where he scheduled entertainment and made calls for reservations.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; his sister, Patricia Steck and her husband, Dale Fujikawa, of Yorba Linda, Calif.; an aunt, Mary (Lavern) Fields, of Gulf Breeze Fla.; and cousins, Russ, Janet, Linda, Lee and Rob.
The funeral service will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 20, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Burial will be at Wildwood Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are being handled be Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport.
