Thomas I. Bastian Sr., 74, of Williamsport, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, surrounded by family.

Born May 5, 1942, in Union County, Thomas was a son of the late George and Pearl (Murphy) Bastian.

A graduate of Williamsport Area High School Thomas owned and operated Bastian's Auto Service in Linden where he worked as a mechanic for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, yard sales, shooting pool, playing darts and the color purple. You could often find him coloring, doing macrame, or delivering puppies, some of his greatest pastimes. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his children and grandchildren. His quick wit and humor will be missed.

Surviving are a son, Thomas I. (Christi) Bastian Jr., of Trout Run; a daughter, Tammy Meuse (Geno Emerick Jr.), of Williamsport; five grandchildren, Christina (Sam) Coup, Jennifer Frank, Asia Bastian, Justin Bastian and Megan Emerick; five great-grandchildren, Rodney, Serenity, Caleb, Kayle and Brooklynn; three sisters, Nancy Phoenix, Linda Kershner, and Janet Day; his good friend, Sandy Bastian; and his beloved dog, Kiye.

Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Thomas's life at a gathering from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at his daughter Tammy's house, 1201 Park Ave. Williampsort, PA 17701. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
