Robert E. Wacker

Robert E. Wacker, 82, of Susquehanna Township, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family. Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Margaret F. (Trautner) Wacker .

Born Dec. 9, 1935, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Richard and Bernadine (Holt) Wacker.

Robert was a graduate of Williamsport High School.He served in the U.S. Army proudly from 1955-1958 and retired from Fink and Stackhouse as a strip miner.

Robert was a lifelong member of Oak Grove Alliance Church. He enjoyed spending time at the family hunting club and loved watching sporting events of all kinds on television, especially the Philadelphia Phillies. 

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Melissa Metzger, of Jersey Shore and James (Kris) Wacker, of Nippensose; four grandchildren, Audrey and Carolyn Wacker and Taylor and Marshal Metzger; five siblings, Charles (Della) Wacker, of Montoursville, Mabel (John) Weigel, of Missouri, Doris (Robert) Stackhouse and Joyce (John) Krause, all of Williamsport and Timothy (Pat) Wacker, of South Carolina.

Robert was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda Faye Wacker in 1975.

A funeral service to honor the life of Robert will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 9 at Oak Grove Alliance Church, 1680 Fox Hollow Road, Williamsport, with The Rev. Edgar L. Manns officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at church. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert's name to the Oak Grove Alliance Church, 1680 Fox Hollow Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
