Richard W. Pryor, 68, of South Williamsport, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his home.

Born January 25, 1949 in Williamsport, he was a son of Richard L. and Martha A. (Earnest) Pryor.

Richard was a 1967 graduate of Williamsport High School. He retired as an inspector from Textron-Lycoming after 40 years and was a member of the Local Union #787. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, rock climbing, hiking, and skiing. He loved traveling out West and loved his many beagles over the years.  

Surviving in addition to his mother Martha of Williamsport, are two brothers John A. Pryor (Deb) of Montoursville and Thomas E. Pryor (Becky) of Williamsport, five nieces and nephews Brooke Houseknecht, Jimmy Pryor, Susan Mitcheltree, Justin Pryor, and Sheryl Baker, 11 great nieces and nephews and one great great niece.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 16 at Wildwood Cemetery (meet at chapel) 91 Wildwood Blvd. Williamsport.

Memorial donations in Richard’s name may be made to Lycoming County SPCA 2805 Reach Road Williamsport, PA 17701. The family wishes to thank Daisy Rooth, R.N. of Susquehanna Hospice for her care and compassion shown to Richard.
