Renee M. Engle, 56, of South Williamsport,  lost her battle with cancer, Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at The Gatehouse surounded by her loving family.
Born May 10, 1961, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Richard J. DeSanto and Patricia A. Borrosco DeSanto.
Renee was a 1979 graduate of  Eastern York High School. Following high school she attended  Lemoyne Barber School in Camp Hill and graduated in 1980. After graduation, she owned and operated DeSanto’s Hair Styling in Williamsport. She most recently worked as an office manager for Prostat Healthcare.
Renee was a member of Fairlawn Community Church. She enjoyed knitting, working in her yard and spending time with her beloved schnauzer, Tucker.
Surviving is her husband of  16 years, Kyle L. Engle; her parents, Richard J. DeSanto, of Rose Valley, and Patricia A. DeSanto, of Loyalsock Township; children, Melissa A. (James) Brent, of South Williamsport, Matthew T. DeSanto, of South Williamsport, and Clinton L. (Lisa) Engle, of Loyalsock Township;  two sisters, Marcella A. DeSanto, of Williamsport, and Denice M. (Robert) Mangold, of The Colony, Texas;  and two granddaughters, Sidney and Salem Engle. Also, John P. Kriner, of South Williamsport, who was a second father to Renee.
A memorial service to honor the life of Renee will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Fairlawn Community Church, 353 Pleasant Hill Road, Cogan Station, with Pastor Steve Cutter, officiating. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport.
Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
