Norma L. Kinley, 91, of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 22, 1924, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late James L. and Zoe (Call) Goodrich. Norma married Ernest C. Kinley on Nov. 22, 1945, and together they shared 57 years of marriage until his death on Dec. 12, 2002.
Norma was the oldest member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church in Linden, where she was very involved over the course of her lifetime. She served as a Sunday school teacher, helped with the prayer chain, and the Ladies Society Willing Hearts and Hands, which was always special to her. She loved bowling and played in many different leagues in the area. She enjoyed sewing and coloring, but most of all her greatest passion was her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah L. Monds (Charles F. Walizer), of Williamsport; a son, Douglas C. (Charlene) Kinley, of Cogan Station; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Emma Stroble, of Muncy and Gloria (James) Espositio, of Williamsport.
In addition to her husband, Norma was preceded in death by a son, Thomas E. Kinley; a son-in-law, Wayne F. Monds; and a daughter-in-law, Christine (O'Brien) Kinley.
A funeral service to honor the life of Norma will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. Dr. S. David Simon, officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at Sanders.
