Nancy J. Shuman, 86, of South Williamsport, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at her residence.
Born Sept. 17, 1931, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Emerson Saunders and Marjorie Grow Johnson.
Nancy was a graduate of Williamsport High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading and Penn State Football.
Nancy was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving is her husband of 67 years, Ray C. Shuman; her children, Ann Marie (Bill) Kahler, of Muncy, Ray C. Shuman Jr., of Williamsport, Michael A. (Jackie) Shuman and David R. Shuman, both of South Williamsport; three grandchildren, Matthew P. Gimpert, John M. Shuman, and Gabrielle N. Shuman; three step-grandchildren, Lindsey Kahler Hollingsworth, Melissa M. Smith, Ronald W. Yeagle; two great-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel W. Gimpert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 800 W. Central Ave., South Williamsport, with Rev. Michael Zipay, officiating. There will be a viewing Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
