Marie J. Hammer, 70, of Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at Williamsport Regional Medical Center. Marie is survived by her husband of 44 years, Clyde T. Hammer.
Born May 23, 1946, in Elimsport, she was a daughter of the late Sylvester and Laura Moore.
Marie was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School and attended classes at Lycoming College. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and enjoyed horses and horse racing.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Scott Hammer and Marc Hammer, both of Williamsport; and a grandson, Tim Roupp.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Moore.
A funeral service to honor the life of Marie will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. There will be a viewing from 1 to 2 p.m.
Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery
