Marian R. Whitenight, 88, of South Williamsport, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital.

Born July 22, 1928, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Milton B. and Lillian (Artley) Stahl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Whitenight, on March 13, 1997.

Marian was a graduate of South Williamsport High School. She and her husband, Ken, were the owners and operators of Clearview TV & Appliances for 25 years. She was a member of DuBoistown United Methodist Church, the Womenás Society and the Susquehanna Winnebago Club. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, traveling, gardening, spending her winters in Pine Island, Fla. and being with her grandkids and family.

Surviving are three daughters, Gwen Bower (Jeff), of South Williamsport, Colleen Kennedy (Fulton), of Mechanicsburg and Patrice Reasner, of Mechanicsburg; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; another great grandchild expected soon; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Stahl.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Matthew Reasner and two brothers, Byron (Mary Ellen) and Grant Stahl.

A funeral service to honor the life of Marian will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at DuBoistown United Methodist Church, 133 Summer St., DuBoistown. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at church.
