Marian Fae Getz, 93, of Williamsport died Monday, April 3, 2017 at Roseview Center.

Born December 10, 1923 in Hepburn Twp., she was a daughter of the late Lester C. and Mildred P. Irion Fry.

Marian was a homemaker and had also worked for Shop Vac. She was a member of St. John-Newberry United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and growing her blooming cactus plants. In all kinds of weather you could often see Fae and Ralph walking through the Newberry and West End areas.

She is survived by her children Kathleen M. (John) Sobol of Williamsport, Janice K. (John) Borowski of Williamsport and Ralph R. Getz of Williamsport, grandchildren, Jared, and Jonah Getz, Jessica (Shawn) Wertz, Megan, Maddie and Mariel Sobol, and Michael (Naoko) Borowski, two great grandchildren,  and siblings, Loren L (Ruth) Fry of Muncy,  Doris M. McCoy of Williamsport, Cora P. (George) Belcher of Independence, KS, and Betty Bennett of Gilbert, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Ralph W. Getz, three brothers, Larry, Floyd   and Arthur Fry and three sisters, Audrey M. Wright, Marie C. Crissman and Laura E. Hoffman.

A funeral service to honor the life of Marian will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport with Rev. Jay Jones, officiating.

A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
