Joseph Rogers Obituary

Joseph C. Rogers, 93, of Williamsport, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at Aristacare at Loyalsock.

Born Nov. 29, 1924, in Williamsport, he was a son of Elijah and Margaret (O'Dea) Rogers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June L. Rogers on Sept. 26, 2015, after 66 years of marriage; a son, Danny O'Dea Rogers; and a brother, Paul Francis Rogers.

Joe had worked for Williamsport Area School District for 22 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Joe was a life member of the LeRoy O. Buck VFW Post No. 7863 Duboistown, and a past VFW District No. 15 Commander. He was a member of F&AM Lodge No. 397.

He is survived by many close friends and his caregivers, John and Jenny Lannan, of South Williamsport.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial in Wildwood Cemetery with military honors.
