Janet L. Cupp, 83, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Rose View Center.

Born June 26, 1933 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Elwood and C. and Katherine (Hammerstine) Cupp.

She was a 1951 graduate of Williamsport High School and a 1954 graduate of the Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing. Janet worked as registered nurse at Williamsport Hospital for 42 years. She was a member of St. John’s-Newberry United Methodist Church and a member of the Williamsport Hospital Nursing Alumni Association. She enjoyed traveling and going out to eat with her friends.

Surviving are two brothers Dr. Thomas H. Savits (Shiela) of Pittsburgh and Pastor Ronald D. Savits (Jo) of Williamsport, two sisters Nancy J. Nelson (Ian) of Florida, and Debra L. Larson (Tim) of Linden, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Elwood C. Cupp, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, January 20 at Sanders Mortuary 821 Diamond St. Williamsport, followed by a memorial service to honor Janet’s life at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Jay E. Jones and Pastor Ronald D. Savits co-officiating.
