Evelyn L. Bachman, 89, of Cogan Station, passed away Monday, March 21, 2017 at the UPMC Susquehanna- Williamsport.  She was preceded in death by her husband LaVern “Sam” Bachman in  1986.

Born May 5, 1927, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late William F. and May (Johnson) Adams.

Evelyn was a member of Third Street United Methodist Church. She helped run Bachman Grocery Store with her husband in the 1950’s and worked 45 years in the sewing industry as a supervisor.

Surviving are three sons, Eugene Bachman, Sr. (Ann), of Elimsport, Daniel L. Bachman, of Cogan Station, and Dennis J. Bachman, of Cogan Station,  three grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren, two brothers, Harold F. “Mack” Adams, of Montoursville and Frank “Rick” Adams, Sr. (Betty), of Williamsport.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Blake J., Kenneth H., and Wayne E. Adams, and two sisters, Bernice Ebert and Margeen Sechler.

A funeral service to honor the life of Evelyn will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 27 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport with the Rev. John C. Baney officiating.   Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at Sanders Mortuary.
