Eugene H. Davenport
May 6, 1933 ~ June 25, 2017 (age 84) 84 Years OldEugene H. Davenport, 84, of Williamsport, went home to be with the Lord Sunday June 25, 2017 at Rose View Center.
Born May 6, 1933 in Williamsport, he was a son of Daniel and Mildred (Giberson) Davenport, and had two siblings Daniel and Ruth. He was preceded in death by his first wife Hazel I. (Bartholomew) Davenport in 1987, and his second wife Patricia Flook Davenport in 2016.
Eugene served in the National Guard during the Korean War and had worked for the C.A. Reed Company for many years. He was a member of Agape Fellowship. Eugene enjoyed woodworking, going on mission trips to Liberia, was an avid hunter, and played with the first Original Little League Team for Carl Stotz.
Surviving are three children Linda I. Vining (Carl) of Montgomery, Sharon J. Brennan (Lee) of Williamsport, and James A. Davenport (Bonnie) of Montoursville, six grandchildren Richard, Anthony, Anna-Marie, Jonathan, Mandy, and Jeremiah, 16 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, five step-children and step-grandchildren.
A service of celebration to honor the life of Eugene will be held 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Agape Fellowship Church 485 East Third St. Williamsport with Pastor Dale Rintelman officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-6:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will be private in Wildwood Cemetery.
