Donald E. Baker, 91, of Williamsport died Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Williamsport Home.

Born June 4, 1925 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late LaRue R. and Grayce L. Newcomer Baker.

Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the VFW Post 7863 DuBoistown, American Legion Post 104 Montoursville and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Donald was employed at Penn Garment for 29 years and retired from Williamsport Area School District after 13 years of service.  He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Montoursville. Donald enjoyed spending his time going on walks.

He is survived by his daughters; Nancy L. (Allen) Boyarsky of Ashby, MA and Donna E. (Myron) Hersh of Montgomery; three grandchildren Donald, and Derek Hersh and Eric Boyarsky;  two great grandsons Joseph Hoffman and Lucas Hersh and a sister, Norma L. Wartz.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Mary Louise Baker and a brother LaRue R. Baker.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Wildwood Cemetery.
