Cora Genevieve "Genny" Lockcuff, 86, of McGill Hollow Road, Linden, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at Manor Care North where she had been rehabilitating since August, 2016. Born on Nov. 24, 1930, Cora celebrated her 86th birthday on Thanksgiving Day.
She was the daughter of the late Donald I. Miller and the late Vivien W. Raemore Miller. She and her husband of 45 years, the late Richard E. "Dick" Lockcuff, owned the Lockcuff Store in White Pine from 1955 to 1975. She was a member of the Pine Run United Methodist Church and a member of the Jersey Shore Senior Center where she loved to go be with her friends and play cards every day.
Surviving are a sister, Ruth B. Shipman, of Williamsport; a daughter, Kim Lockcuff, of Linden; two granddaughters, Kasey Owens, of Williamsport and Tara (Rod) Patterson, of Buttonwood; a grandson, Ty (Renee) Sheddy, of Salladasburg; five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jordan Sheddy, Shiloh, Lijah and Tierney Sheddy Patterson.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death respectively by her son, Richard "Rick" E. Lockcuff II; a brother, Lynn I. Miller; a daughter, Sherry L. Sheddy; and a grandson, Jathan L. Owens.
In keeping with Cora's wishes, there will be no services at this time. A private graveside service where she will be put to rest with her husband in Wildwood Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
