Carl E. Burkholder II, 64, of Linden, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, at UPMC - Williamsport Hospital.

Born Sept. 7, 1952, in Florida, he was a son of Carl E. Burhholder I and Shirley (Gordner) Shoemaker.

Carl was a graduate of Williamsport High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a fireman with Jersey Shore Fire Station No. 3. Carl enjoyed spending his summers at his home on the Susquehanna River and feeding catfish from his hand.

Surviving are his significant other and best friend of 32 years, Donna R. Cardene; three children, Angela Stark (Chris), of State College, Jenny Smith (Shane), of Avis and Joseph Jaser, of Williamsport; seven grandchildren; brother, Richard Shoemaker; and sister, Kimberly Heatley, both of Buttonwood; sister-in-law, Barbara (Ronald) Hinkal, of Williamsport; several nieces and nephews; and friend, Kathy Jaser, of Avis.

Carl will be greatly missed by his family and friends but especially by his cat, Bumper.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
