Betty J. Waltz, 90, of Cogan Station, died Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Valley View Nursing Center.

Born May 20, 1927 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Lorin and Elizabeth (Pidcoe) Winner Craig.

Betty was a former member of Fairlawn Community Church. She enjoyed being outdoors.

Surviving is a niece, Beverly Galvin of Salem MA; cousins Robert, Paul and Gladys Pidcoe all of Canton, Dr. Vern Pidcoe of Jeffersonville,  Terry Pidcoe of Everett, and Janet Pidcoe of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clair E. Waltz, in 2010, a sister Helen (Winner) Galvin Bailey and a nephew Donald Galvin.

A funeral service to honor the life of Betty will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street with the Rev. Timothy K. Hartzell, officiating. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.

Interment will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park.
