Arnetta L. “Netta” Twine, 61, of Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at UPMC Susquehanna.

Born July 28, 1956 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Dorothy R. (Brown) Twine, Jr.

A graduate of Williamsport High School Class of 1974, Netta had a passion for working with children. She worked for over 20 years in the Williamsport Branch YMCA childcare program, and the last 10 years at Stevens Primary as a Teachers Aid. She most recently spent her summer working at Blessed Beginnings and for the Williamsport Crosscutters.

Netta was a member of the Democratic Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 970, in Williamsport. Throughout the years she played in many local women’s softball leagues. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and playing cards. Netta loved working with children, but more importantly she cherished her time spent with her family and friends. 

Surviving is her life partner of 36 years, Deborah L. Esposit, of Williamsport; four brothers; John A. Twine, III, of Atlanta, GA, Albert W. (Jackie) Twine of Marion, OH, Richard A. (Lana) Twine, and Robert L. Twine, all of Williamsport; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and many other dear family members and friends.

A funeral service to honor the life of Arnetta will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, August 31, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. A viewing will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at Sanders.
