Alma J. (Danley) Watkins
July 23, 1959 ~ December 30, 2017 (age 58) 58 Years Old
Alma J. Watkins, 58, of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at UPMC Susquehanna. She was preceded in death by her husband John J. Watkins Jr. on July 18, 2012.
Born July 23, 1959, in Muncy, she is a daughter of A. Larue Danley, of South Williamsport and Lela A. (Dowling) Yoder, of Jersey Shore.
Alma was a graduate of Williamsport Area High School Class of 1977 and retired from Community Service Group of Williamsport. She enjoyed NASCAR and cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles. Alma was known for her unique personality, loved to socialize with family and friends and had a big heart, doing anything for those she loved.
Surviving in addition to her parents are five brothers, Smokey (Val) Danley, of English Center, Jim (Donna) Danley, Steve (Carmen) Danley, all of Jersey Shore, David (Wanda) Danley, of Williamsport, and John Danley, of Cogan Station; eight nieces and nephews; eight great-nieces and nephews; God daughter, Jude Richardson; sister-in-law, Marguerite (Mark) Watkins-Gott, of Delaware; several other siblings-in-law and many dear friends.
A visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport, followed by a memorial service to honor Alma's life at 7 p.m.
